I spent a couple of days in Brentwood bay painting this scene when the owner of this vessel and gave me some backround on his boat and the name Vi Skaliva

Saxe Point

 
I painted this scene at Saxe point with a group of plein air painters early in the morning on a gorgeous day a few weeks ago.

Foggy day on the dock

I painted this blue vessel down at the dock downtown Victoria. It was a cool foggy day,and I was able to spend a longer time completing this as the light was consistant. 10"x14" in oils.

Coast Guard

I painted this coastguard vessel in Esquimalt overlooking a very busy Victoria Harbor. This is definately one of my favorite spots to paint. To my left is the arbutus trees I painted the next day.

I painted these arbutus trees out in Esquimalt on a gorgeous sunny day. Took me about three hours to capture this scene on 10"x14" panel in oils

Had a very specific image in mind when I painted this, and I'm greatful that I have the opportunity to paint these again at a later date, practice makes perfect!

This was very difficult to photograph, had a tough time with reflecting oil off the canvas.

these grew in abundance in south africa and
indulged in this delicious fruit often. Enjoyed
painting it as much as I'm gonna eat it lol!

familiar to me, love the subtle contrasts when
painting a reflective surface, now to chop up the onion for dinner!
